Dear Friends and Supporters,
I have been overwhelmed with your response to my campaign. Some might ask why anyone outside of Oklahoma should care about this race. The answer is that hate and intolerance knows no boundaries. Sally Kern’s out of state supporters are organizations and individuals who would deny the freedom and equality guaranteed to us in our Constitution. There was a time when all Americans believed in our rights. Our crisis is that we face extremists who would rob us of our rights in the name of national security or their perception of morality. It is time for all of us to denounce hatred, intolerance and fanaticism whenever and wherever it arises. I am in need of your help in carrying on this fight. My campaign is in the early stages and in need of financial help. If you live in the Oklahoma City Metro area, we will need volunteers in large numbers.
We have some exciting events planned that may draw in some top local, regional and national entertainment. I believe that music is a universal language that transcends age, class and culture. I ask you to become familiar with the song “Mother Freedom” performed by Bread. Please join me in our fight for freedom and equality. Defeating Sally Kern will send a message to those in other parts of our great country that hate is not a family value and intolerance is never a welcome visitor.
